Seasonal flowers
Peonies are among the most asked-for flowers and among the most seasonal. You can send them in Israel for about half the year. When we have them, the bouquets with peonies appear below and in the shop.
Yes, in the north. Growers in the Galilee raise peonies in greenhouses, under plastic and in net houses, and most of the crop is exported to Europe and the US in winter and spring. Greenhouse plants can flower from mid-January; plants in the open flower in April and May.
These windows move a few weeks from year to year with the weather. When a bouquet with peonies is in the shop, we have them.
Peonies arrive in bud or just opening and open fully over the next few days. Keep them out of direct sun and heat, trim the stems and change the water every day or two.
Most easily from January to June, when Israeli and then European peonies are in season, and again from November to January, when they come from the Southern Hemisphere. Late summer and early autumn are the hardest months.
Peonies are cut in bud so they last. They open over the next few days in a vase.
Only in season. These flowers have short seasons, and when we have them, the bouquets with them appear in the shop. When each is in season: peonies, lilac, lily of the valley.
